Mobile Check Deposit Best Practices
These best practices will help make the mobile check process seamless and easy! Using a blue or black ballpoint pen is recommended. Some felt tip pens can bleed through the check and impact the ability to read the check.
Before depositing a check, review the following and make sure:
- The check must be from a US based bank - international checks are not supported.
- The check is made out to the organization.
- The check date is no later than 6 months after the current date.
- The written and numeric amounts for the check match.
- The check is signed on the front of the check.
- The back is endorsed on the endorsement line with For Deposit Only.
- To check mark the box on the back of the check if it says Check Here If Mobile Deposit.
When capturing a check image, make sure:
- The check is against a dark background.
- There is ample lighting and no glare on the image.
- The check is aligned in the camera view finder.
- The camera is not too far away from the check image.
After submitting a check:
- Please allow 24-48 hours for processing time for the check to appear in the mobile app under My Donations.
- Write VOID across the check and keep for 14 days (or until you confirm the check has appeared in the mobile app).
- The check does not need to be mailed to the event coordinator.
